Students spent today doing a few things related to the Eight Traits of Culture and the Fertile Crescent. First, they completed two map activities related to the Fertile Crescent. These two map activities asked students to identify key information about Mesopotamian and Egyptian geography.

Students then began work on their first Activity List concerning Culture and the Fertile Crescent. Students began work on activities related to Social Groups (a Trait of Culture) and the Social Groups of Ancient Sumer (which is part of Mesopotamia).

Tomorrow, we'll continue working on Social Group activities, and move on to activities related to Daily Life and Language.

Speaking of tomorrow, Thursday evening is Stokes Night. This is a wonderful opportunity to relive some of the fun that was Stokes, and to meet up with the groups from Stokes (including most, if not all, of the high school counselors). The event starts at 6:45 in the cafeteria, and Mr. Wannamaker encourages sixth graders to attend!

Have a great evening!
