The Greek Bid Battle is on

Students will spend most of this week creating their Greek Bid Battles. This project has students preparing proposals for the ancient cities of Athens and Sparta to host the ancient Olympic Games. Students will look to different factors that would be required for hosting the games, and how each polis would accomplish those requirements.

At this point, students know their groups and the polis they are representing. This week, students will take time to conduct any reviews of class materials and research needed to prepare their projects. Grading of the projects will commence on Friday.

We'll then spend a short amount of time discussing events in Greek history like the Peloponnesian War and the rise of the Macedonians.

Have a great week!
