Students will spend the first part of this week working on an interdisciplinary mini-unit focused on the Civil Rights Movement (Click Here For the Civil Rights Unit Site). Students will learn about the major events, key figures, and main ideas of the Movement. This mini-unit is cooperation with Language Arts, where students will eventually write a narrative related to the Movement. On Monday and Tuesday, students will be completing activities in the Learning Commons, and on Wednesday we'll learn about the Birmingham Children's March.

Speaking of Wednesday, students should have their Ranking paragraphs for Social Groups, Daily Life, and Language in class on Wednesday. If anyone needs assistance regarding their paragraphs, they can see Mr. Wannamaker before or after school on Tuesday.

Have a great week!
