Social Groups, Daily Life, and Language

Students will spend the week doing a few things. First, we'll review several of the activities that we did last week during our brief Civil Rights mini-unit. We'll also learn a bit more about Jim Crow Laws and public opinion on the Civil Rights movement (this will help students for their upcoming narrative assignment in Language Arts).

We'll also briefly review the Trait of Culture of Social Groups, and the social groups of Ancient Egypt and Sumer. We'll then talk about Daily Life and Language, which are two more Traits of Culture. We'll then see what Daily Life and Language were like in the Ancient Fertile Crescent.

This will then lead us into our next quiz, which will focus on Social Groups, Daily Life, and Language. This quiz will most likely happen at the beginning of next week (Tuesday, most likely). At the end of this week and at the beginning of next week we'll spend some time in class preparing for the quiz and creating study tools.

Have a great week!
