Place, HEI, and the New Stone Age

This week, students will learn about two more of the Five Themes of Geography: Place and Human-Environment Interaction. To do so, we'll learn their definitions, we'll identify present-day ways of understanding them, and then apply them to prehistory. We'll also learn about the New Stone Age, and how it was different than the Old Stone Age.

Students will also complete a brief, very small classwork project related to Place. On Thursday, we'll also be checking the three additional activities related to Latitude and Longitude from the last activity list (Go Climb a Tree, Spelling Bee, and Dream Team). Students will be given a very small grade based on completing these activities, so if they haven't finished them yet, they should do so as homework this week.

Finally, students will get their quizzes back from Friday. If any students have concerns about their grade, they can see Mr. Wannamaker before or after school.

Have a great week!
