Students spent both their Social Studies and Language Arts periods in the Library today, working on activities related to the civil rights movement and the life and actions of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

These activities including sequencing famous events from the Civil Rights movement, working with a BrainPop activity on the life of Dr. King, and identifying traits of character that Dr. King exhibited at different events and stages of his life.

We'll be back in the library tomorrow, finishing these activities.

Students were reminded today that some of them need to complete the Fertile Crescent and Culture Quiz, since students are now allowed to take assessments again. Students may come in before school or after school tomorrow to take the quiz, or may take it during class on Wednesday. All students should be finished with the quiz by the end of Wednesday. So if any students need to take (or re-take) the quiz, they should be studying at home, using the materials that have been mentioned in previous Daily Updates.

Have a great evening!
