Geography and Prehistory This Week

We have a great week planned in Social Studies!

We'll be working on the three remaining Themes of Geography: Place, Human-Environment Interaction, and Region.

For Place, we've created flash cards for 14 important physical features that we need to know for the remainder of the year. To apply our knowledge of these physical features, we have a small graded activity called Create-a-Continent, where students will create a continent that contains many of our important physical features. This activity will further be used in lessons to help us understand Human-Environment Interaction.

For Region, we'll be taking a look at different types of maps, including Mr. Wannamaker's Favorite Map Ever.

We'll also work a bit on the New Stone Age, and we'll compare what life was like for people who lived in the Old and New Stone Ages.

Let's have a great week!
