Culture and the Fertile Crescent

Students have a few things to do this week involving the Eight Traits of Culture and the Fertile Crescent.

We'll be identifying the Eight Traits, and creating mnemonics to remember the Traits. We'll then create a timeline showing the different civilizations that made significant contributions to the Fertile Crescent.

Then, we'll move on to talking about the first three Traits of Culture: Social Groups, Daily Life, and Language. We'll define these Traits, explain how they relate to the present day, and see how they were in the ancient Fertile Crescent.

Also, on Wednesday, we'll have a visit from the Guidance Department, who will be sharing the PowerSources lesson with our students.

Lastly, STOKES Night is this Thursday. Students can meet up with their high school counselors, participate in their group cheers and chants, enjoy some treats, and watch the STOKES 2016 movie. It's a great evening and students should definitely try to attend.

Have a great week!
