A look at the Indus Valley Civilization

Students are spending the week focusing on India, and specifically early Indian History. Students will focus their attention on the Indus Valley Civilization, and the Aryan Migration into India. We'll complete a few mini-lessons, reading activities, and map activities that identify key facts about these civilizations. These activities will help us with our Recommendations for the Rajah Project, where students need to identify key ways that a ruler could unify and maintain an empire.

We'll have a brief, 10-point assessment on Tuesday regarding India's geography. Students should review and study their map on page 66 of their notebooks, and should be able to identify the locations of the major physical features in Ancient India. Students should also review their definition of Monsoons.

If any students have any questions about their maps, they can see Mr. Wannamaker before school on Tuesday. Also, if any students have concerns about our last Fertile Crescent quiz, they can see Mr. Wannamaker before or after school this week.

Have a great week!
