A Look Ahead At The Week!

After two days of orientation last week, today brought about our first chance to talk about a bit of social studies!

Students spent the day looking at how we (and historians) learn about the past. Students learned about primary and secondary sources, and how they are similar and different. Students then completed an activity or two that reinforced those ideas!

Some classes were also able to discuss their Student Notebooks, and we started to set them up. For the remaining classes, we'll be doing this on Tuesday!

For the rest of the week, we'll be focusing on Geography and Prehistory. Specifically, we'll learn about the first two Themes of Geography (Location and Movement), and we'll apply our new knowledge and skills to learn about Prehistory. We'll also continue learning about our classroom, and some of the policies and procedures that we have.

Let's have a great week!
